Important Bulletin Regarding Early Versions of Golden Tee Fore!

FEBRUARY 2001: Please distribute to your personnel.

Recent improvements and upgrades have been installed into the internal ITNet system, making call and connect times more efficient and reliable.

Golden Tee Fore! machines running Software Version 1.00.13 or higher are capable of recognizing the internal changes, and will connect as normal.  Additionally, these machines will be automatically updated to the most current Software Version available (currently V1.00.33).

Golden Tee Fore! machines still running Software Version V1.00.12 and earlier will not recognize the internal changes and will not complete a successful call.  These machines have most likely never been registered or attempted to connect to ITNet.

To find what software version your machine is running, enter Operator Test Mode and look at the software version number posted at the top of the Main Menu screen.

If your machine is operating with Software Version V1.00.12 or earlier, and you are attempting to make a successful call for the first time, after about 45 seconds the following message may appear:

DISCONNECTED FROM ITNET

COULD NOT CONNECT TO ITNET SERVER
STATUS: SERVER CONNECT FAILURE.

To correct this problem, you will need to obtain a special EPROM from Incredible Technologies or your distributor that will enable your machine to call in successfully and receive the latest software version.  Please be prepared to give your PCB number and code version when ordering

Experiencing Video Freezes or Game Resets

December 25, 2000

If your PCB Serial Number is between 10000 and 12999, and you are experiencing video freezes or game resets, we have identified a probable cause for the problem.

Please check the chip labels on U2 and U26 on your PCB. If the last 4 digits of the middle line of numbers on U2 is marked "0017", then U26 must be labeled SB5. If U26 is not labeled SB5, please contact the IT Tech Department for a replacement U26 chip.

If U2 does not contain "0017" on its label, then the U2 and U26 chips are not causing the problem.

Please make sure all of your machines have a Power Bypass Cable properly installed.
